If I were a boy…

This writing is inspired by my own experience happening to me for the first time approximately three months ago, which I consider as a bad one. Anyway, I will emphasise on how things happen to us for the first time. So, the question is; do you remember how it feels doing or experiencing something for the first time? Well, it can be anything; the first day of primary school, the first time you started liking someone, the first time you got hospitalised, or even maybe the first time you skipped school. All I can tell is that those things you do for the first time must leave you memories. Then you will write those feelings on diary, blog, etc. and again they will teach us how to work out the next phase of life. Back in the days I was in middle school and being told by a friend of mine that there was a boy outside the classroom waiting for me to say something. I was a little girl knowing nothing at that time, there I came upon him asking what was the thing he wanted to say. All right, let us presume that it was maybe his very first time doing that and unluckily, yes, you are reading it correctly, he could hardly speak. This taught me that in some occasions, not the ones that happen accidentally, I need to prepare anything dealing with the first time. Or, maybe I just don’t know how it feels to be a boy…

Some of Us May Agree This

This poem is the first poem my friends and I discuss on our first meeting in Literature I. Frankly I was overwhelmed when our lecturer revealed what this poem really means. Thus I share the poem here so that you guys can see it too. One thing, you may have different interpretations about it and it's definitely okay. I praise diversity.

           The Rose

Some say love, it is a river
 that drowns the tender reed.
Some say love, it is a razor
that  leaves your soul to bleed.
Some say love, it is a hunger
an endless aching need.
I say love, it is a flower
and you its only seed.

It’s the heart afraid  of breaking
that never learn to dance.
It’s the dream afraid of waking
that never takes the chance.
It’s the one who won’t be taking
who cannot seem to give
And the soul afraid of dying
that never learn to live.

When the night has been too lonely
and the road has been too long
Then you think that love is only
for the lucky and the strong.
Just remember in the winter
far beneath the bitter snows
Lies the seed that with the sun’s love
in the spring becomes the rose.

Anon.

We may call this a prelude

Oh yes, I finally did it. I made my own blog on this very end of 2010. Well, you must ask, “Start blogging? 2010? Where have you been?!” The only answer would be I’m not good at writing. To me, the one that writes something frequently, whatever it is, means that they can communicate their thoughts well. Hail those writers!! Oh yes, wait, I just come out to the conclusion that there must be something wrong with my brain. Yeah, there must be.

Speaking of writing, I should mention these three people who encourage me to go blogging with their writings, they are Ahmad Fajar, Amanda Puspita  Sari, and Anne Anggraeni Fathana, who I believe I will need their help.  Many people do something to themselves or others with their writing.  It seems that it's now my turn, oh at least by doing this I do something to myself.

I’m still learning how to write and would be honoured to hear any comments from anyone of you to get me better on this. Love,
